The Pine Island FFA Chapter meetings are held the first Monday of every month at 8 pm in the Ag Room. **The December meeting will be different as there are music concerts on all Mondays.
Career Development Events (Contests)
FFA members can participate in numerous contests throughout the year. Those teams or individuals who qualify for state competition will attend the Minnesota FFA Convention at the end of April. Corn Drive
Each fall members of the Pine Island FFA Chapter ask for donations of corn or money. All money collected is donated to Camp Courage.
Fruit Sales
In the fall of every year, FFA members sell fruit, cheese and sausage to raise money for the chapter activities. Students have the opportunity to make money for themselves and compete for top seller prizes.
National FFA Convention
The National FFA Convention is held at the end of October in Indianapolis, IN. Approximately eight students from the chapter have the opportunity to travel on a region bus to attend convention. These students attend general sessions, hear inspiring speakers, meet FFA members from across the country, and develop their leadership skills through workshops.
Region VIII FFA Greenhand Camp
The Region VIII FFA Officer Team hosts a camp for 8th, 9th, and 10th graders each year. Camp participants learn about FFA, develop leadership skills, meet FFA members from SE Minnesota and have lots of FUN! To learn more about the 2007 camp, click here to open a document with more information.
