Lovey started out life as a pet and a marvelous one he is too. He greets each and every visitor to Sue's home with an ear piercing cheerio as he lands on their shoulder. Lovey simply loves EVERYONE and has no fear!
For several years he was owned by a breeder who used him as that. Then tragedy struck, Lovey's wife died and his new owner had a stroke shortly thereafter and had to go to a nursing home. Lovey was in limbo. He was being kept with his owner's other birds at a friend's house, but Lovey NEEDED love and wasn't getting enough with all the other birds to compete with. Soon another friend of the breeder adopted him as a pet. Lovey was very happy and very in love with Calypso the conure who is twice his size, but as you can see in the photo, Lovey doesn't much care who he loves as long as he gets to love someone!
