In Winning Ugly Gilbert teaches recreational players how to win more often without necessarily even changing their strokes. Unlimited Doubles!! by Steve C. Tourdo
Steve made the game of doubles so simple that in one reading you can have your game improve a half a level. I currently have adopted his system because it's simple and easy to teach. The drills he outlines at the end of each chapter are great and can be altered depending on the level of play you are working with.
The Art of Doubles : Winning Tennis Strategies by Pat Blaskower
The author gives very clear, specific info on court position in every imaginabe situation. She breaks each position down to jobs. You learn what is expected of you as the server, receiver and partner of the server and receiver. It leaves nothing to guesswork. This is a great book for womens' doubles.
