The Ladies Golf Association (LGA) is comprised of lady golfers promoting
the enjoyment of the game of golf. We play twice weekly, 9 holes on Tuesdays
and 18 holes on Saturdays. Our playing season is from February to November
with an awards banquet held the first part of December. Two large events
are scheduled during the year, the Spring Fling on April 23rd and the Fall
Classic on October 25th. Members of the LGA are encouraged to participate
in other club-sponsored activities such as Match Play, Member-Guest, Kemper
Cup, Member-Member and Club Championship.
For additional information, please contact Dot Arrighy, Membership (821-9930)
or Eleanor Frisch, President (851-6729).
CALGA (Charleston Area Ladies Golf Association)
All members of the LGA with a handicap index of 34 or less are eligible
to participate. CALGA is a local association made up of 19 Charleston area
golf courses. The organization plays courses on a monthly basis. Play is
flighted so golfers are paired up with other players of like ability.
For additional information, contact our CALGA Rep, Joan Mosack at 832-8587.
