Pinecone Press - February, 2008
In January, we asked Pine Lakes residents to submit stories about how they met "the love of their life." Hollie Peterson responded with a fine story of how she met Gordy, and how they got married, in spite of great odds. Their marriage lasted forty-nine years, until Gordy passed away in 1990. You may read the entire story in our February edition page three, or on our Blog. > > >
< < < Thea Park, our healthy-living advocate in Pine Lakes, and many of her friends from CHIP (Coronary Health Improvement Project) put on a fine dinner in the Clubhouse on January 7. The food selections were colorful, delicious and very nutritious. The thirty residents attending really enjoyed the evening, rounded out by a presentation on the CHIP Program. Read the entire review of the dinner in our February edition, page four, or on our Blog.
Here are some of our happy diners at the "Healthy by Choice, not by Chance, Dinner."
In keeping with our interest in matters pertaining to health, we printed the first part of an article by Dr. Chas Wical, on osteoporosis. The second part will appear in our March newsletter. You may read Chas' article on page five of our February edition and also in our Blog.
