Pinecone Press - April, 2007
Tex Province is our featured resident for the April issue of the Pinecone Press. Tex and his wife, Niesje, have enjoyed living and working in various interesting locations before finally settling in Pine Lakes. To learn more about their story, please go to our Blog.
Paul and Elizabeth Allbright were among the nearly seventy Pine Lakes residents who enjoyed our Saint Patrick's Day dinner at the Clubhouse.
Here's our happy group of Pine Lakes Hikers who accomplished a 7.5 mile loop hike up Copper Creek, over a ridge and down Board Creek to the starting point. The weather on that February 22 day was lovely!
On March 8, our Pine Lakes Hikers ventured forth along a path near Thumb Butte and found their way to the almost hidden Cowboy Prayer Rock. Here's the poignant prayer, inscribed by a desperate cowboy:

I LET MY SADDLE FALL,
MY WEARY HORSE I TEND.
DEAR LORD, I HEAR YOU CALL,
FOR I'VE REACHED THE END.
