Pinecone Press - Archive, October '05
Our featured resident for the month of October was Lorrie Bernard.  In our printed issue, Rose Larsen told the heart-warming and fascinating story of Lorrie's search for her natural family and her joyous first meeting with her sister. Lorrie also has two brothers, who she hopes to meet for the first time, soon. It's a really exciting time in Lorrie's life, now that she has finally found her living birth family members and is learning about those in her family who have passed on.
Mary Jane Webster, who has edited the Pinecone Press for the past two years, was honored at a special luncheon for the Pinecone Press editorial staff, wriiters, advertisers and delivery persons. Mary Jane, featured in this photo, is retiring as editor, and Myrtle Tolliver is taking her place.
These three happy ladies were participating in the most colorfully dressed lady contest, during our Pine lakes Annual Luau on Sept. 3. They are: Toni Velardi, Pat Sorensen and Muriel Seitzberg.
Lorrie Bernard and Ken Tolliver cooked flank steaks on our gas grills for a special dinner on August 27.
What a nice variety of meats were sizzling away over the coals during our September Cookout!
