| On May 5, four Pine Lakes ladies met at the Victorian Tea Garden Room, in downtown Prescott, to enjoy conversation, the lovely ambiance and a tasty selection of sandwiches, soup, salad and desserts. | Our intrepid fisherman, Jim Shetzler, netted this nine pound carp from our lower lake on April 30. After de-hooking and weighing this fiesty fish, Jim released it back into the water. | |||||||||||||||||||

| This double-crested cormorant was caught on camera by Annette Clift. For the past several years, our lakes have been visited by one, sometimes two, very shy cormorants. With their slender beaks always held high, cormorants seem a little snooty! Cormorants are fish eaters and so do not compete with our geese and ducks for food. | |||||||||||||||||||
