Squeeze Squeeze's self titled first album is a difficult one to digest at first. Especially if you come upon it after hearing any of their other albums. One wonders exactly what prompted such songs as "Wild Sewerage Tickles Brazil," or "Hesitation (Rool Britannia)." After you hear a little bit about the unorthodox production methods of John Cale, some of the strangely fitting pieces fall into place. Still, after repeated listens, this album only fits into the category of one to play when you're in a bit of a mood. Best Tracks: "Take Me, I'm Yours," "First Thing Wrong" |
