Cool For Cats
This is the album where Squeeze really come into their own. Here the the songwriting moves itself into the foreground where it will remain throughout their albums until the over-indulgent studio wizardry of Cosi Fan Tutti Fruti. You can tell, though, that they're still trying to act kind of punk. Luckily for all of us, they're not quite that tough. Also, in most of the lyrics, we find that Chris Difford is using a rather sexually charged pen to write his lyrics.
