| Mabuhay... As co-moderators, we are a wife/husband team. I am a 25 year old Filipina, originally from Mindano. Who married an American man six years ago. We currently live in Northern Alabama where we share ideas, thoughts, and love which is always filled with open communication, internetsurfing, and a fascination with eachothers cultures and traditions. |
| My husband is always asking questions about the Philippines for which I do not always have the answers...sure glad we have the internet. He also shares a diverse background being part Cherokee (American) Indian and with this the cultural differences a pinay has a hard time understanding. And so we grow... |
| I sometimes feel as though my children will never be able to embrace the part of them that is Pinoy...and so this maybe a good reason to create such a place as "Pinay Wives Corner". An avenue, for our creative side that wants to learn, to share, to inspirer, to grow a little inside, and to understand eachother openly, truthfully, and as best we can. |
| We are never alone; we have our husbands/mates, our children, our failies, our friends, and here within these pages they also may share the joys, the trials, the ups, the downs, and all that goes with being involved in a pinays life. They can tell their stories in the "Husband's" section and share with others who will know what they mean by loving a Filipina wife, a mother, or a friend. Though only a married pinay may become a member in full standing, she can share her life within this site with all she knows. In this way, they may gain a greater knowledge of what it is to be pinay. |
