  1. SINA and NCsoft Enter Definitive Agreement to Form Online Game Joint Venture in China.

SINA (Nasdaq:SINA - News), a leading online media company and value-added information service provider for China and global Chinese communities today announced the signing of a definitive agreement with NCsoft Corp. (KOSDAQ: 36570.KQ - News), the World's leading online game developer and publisher to form a joint venture to operate and market NCsoft's flagship Lineage game in China. Lineage is the most successful online game in Asia and the most popular game in the world with over four million subscribers and nearly $200 million in gross revenue in 2001.

  1. SK Telecom Launches 3G Network Video Service For Cell Phones.

SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- South Korea's largest wireless carrier SK Telecom Co. said Monday it has launched a mobile service that utilizes third- generation, or 3G, wireless service network, allowing subscribers to receive live television reports, streaming video and music-on-demand services on their cellular phones.

  1. S Korea's SK Group To Invest $100 Million In China '03 – Yonhap.

SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- South Korea's SK Group plans to invest a total of $100 million in China next year, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday, citing sources at the group.

MSN find its first Chinese partner in China “ 3721”, “ 3721 “ is a Chinese real net name company. They already sign a contract, but both of them don’t want to say more about the contract. In MSN8 and IE, both include the function of 3721 searcheing. Their co-operation includes three parts: one is real name, one is Chinese search, and last one is Chinese domain.  Because MSN thought what ever even its service very good, but they need to fit Chinese people Internet usage.  3721 support Chinese domain and Chinese searching. 3721: www.3721.net.

5.      Samsung mobile market share get 11.5% in globe market and it is #3 in Q3.

US Strategy Analytics report said: in Q3 globe mobile market, Nokia got 35.9% and it is down from 37.1 in Q2; MOTO got 16.7% and it is down from 17.2 in Q2; Samsung got 11.5% and it is up from 9.7% in Q2; Siemens got 7.7% and it is down from 8.4% in Q2; and SonyErricson got 4.9% and it is down from 5.2% in Q2. and the report said because Samsung mobile has very nice design and also they design the ordinary mobile with color screen, but Nokia only design MMS mobile with color screen.

6.      China Netcom Group Launches New Unit In Zhejiang Province.

BEIJING -(Dow Jones)- China Netcom Group, the smaller of China's two fixed- line telecom operators, has taken its latest step to grab market share from its main rival by opening a new unit to serve the prosperous southern province of Zhejiang.

China United Telecommunication Corporation

  1. Established on July 1994, it has 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous region business in China. And by the November 2002, it has 61 million GSM subscribers and 5million CDMA users.
  2.  China Unicom Limited (the "Company") was incorporated in Hong Kong in February 2000. China Mobile Communication Corporation

 

1.      Established on April 2000, it has 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous region business in China. By November 2002, it has subscriber 130,000,000.

2.      China Mobile (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") was incorporated in Hong Kong on 3 September 1997. It was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 22 October 1997 and 23 October 1997, respectively. 1.      Established on May2002, By July 2002, it has landline subscribers’ 123 million and 22 million Internet subscribers.

2.      China Telecom Corporation is a super-large state-owned enterprise formed according to the state telecom structural reform plan.It was officially established on May 2002.The former China Telecom was split up into two parts:south and north.The corporation has 21 businesses at the provincial level,holding 70% of the national trunk line transmission network assets owned by former China Telecom.China Telecom is allowed to build and operate local telephone network in ten northern provinces.The new China Telecom will be subordinated to the central government.China Telecom is an authorized investor by the State Council and a pilot state holding company. I also checked what Suzanne did, and I also translated the pages that for customers in IQ test. And I also talked with Suzanne, I plan after we translated all the pages, and I will check all again, I thought even before I already check, but maybe she forgot some parts to change and also maybe I did not find some parts is wrong, so after her all translation, I will check all pages again.

2.      Korea market study.

I tried to find some information about VAS of Korea, but all the pages are Korea language, so I gave up them this week, and I found some official website of Korea mobile and IT market, and I download their white papers and soma reports, but I haven’t finish reading, and in our office, I can read them use our computer, so I have to read it at home.

3.      Attend the weekly meeting:

I attended weekly meeting, learn many new things from other market, and also discuss Chinese market and Korea market news.

And I also learn from Rose what is google adwords.
