More Than Just a Scar
I chose to read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling.  The Book documents Harry Potters fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and is the fourth book in a series of seven.  This particular year, Harry is mysteriously entered into the goblet of fire, which gives him a spot to compete in the Tri-Wizard Tournament.  The tournament is traditionally meant for sixth and seventh years, so it makes Harry the youngest ever to compete.  Throughout the year, Harry learns many lessons regarding love, friendship, and trust.  As in the other books, we watch Harry grow up through and assortment of events.  Then, Harry finally comes face to face with the wizard who killed his parents, and left him his lightning bolt scar.  But Harry has proven he can make it through anything by his own strength and support from his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and by the guidance of Headmaster Dumbledore and his godfather Sirius.
Harry Potter is the center of J.K. Rowlings universe in all of the books.  Hes a rather modest boy, and usually blushes when people recognize him.  Its not hard to recognize him either.  Resting below the scar, are round glasses that have been broken a few times throughout Harrys years at Hogwarts.  Behind the glasses lie piercing green eye that are usually full of life.  Harry is strikingly small and scrawny for being 14.  This comes from living with the Dursleys and their over-fed son, Dudley.  He looks even scrawnier when wearing Dudleys hand-me-downs.  Even after Dudley has gotten too large for his clothes, they still hang loosely on Harrys small frame.  he was dressed in a sweatshirt so large for him the he had to roll back the sleeves five times so as to be ale to see his hands, and which fell past the knees of his extremely baggy jeans.  His skin is awfully pale from staying inside and pretending not to exist for most of his life.  But, theres usually a shy smile upon his face.
As mentioned before. Harry is extremely modest.  He grew up for eleven years living with a family that despised him, and he hadnt out who he was until his first trip to Diagon Alley.  Harry has proven time and time again that he is brave and genuine.  From his encounter with Voldemort and how he kept his composure, to always playing the Tri-Wizard Tournament fairly.  Any extra information Harry had, he made sure the other contestants had a chance to know also.  Throughout the book, Harry is always having personal conflict.  He tries to lead a normal life, even with the fame that he never lets go to his head.  Harry is an exceptional friend, and in return he is treated just as well by Ron and Hermione.  Sometimes Ron becomes slightly jealous, but Harry never lets it get in the way of their friendship.  Hes understanding and rarely looses his temper, unless someone he cares about is a target of malice.  Example, Harry received detention for standing up against Professor Snape in Hermiones favor.  Hes also carefree involving school, as he wastes very little time studying, but still manages to do well.  Harry also stays positive while fighting many of his own demons involving his parents death, and his young rise to fame in the wizarding community.
