Welcome to my Runescape help site!!
Why I'm making this site: A few of my friends have started playing Runescape, and I'm fairly good at it (I think). I just want to help the few people that need help with Runescape. Runescape is a massive online multiplayer RPG, and is a fairly fun game. It might be boring when you start, but once you hone your skills, you'll find Runescape's a really fun game.
Step 1: Starting an account
To play Runescape, you have to start an account first. Open Runescape.com in a new window (as you will need this guide later) and click on the "Create Account" link. They will guide you through the process of creating an account. Make sure you write down or remember your username and don't forget your password.

Step 2: Log in
Now, you can play Runescape! Type in "www.runescape.com" as the URL and click on the "Play Game" link. In the next window, click on low resolution or high resolution (most computers can support high resolution). Then, choose a free world. The game should be faster if you choose one close to where you live and/or one with fewer players (each world can hold 2000 players), although any world is fine, as long as you don't use a member's world. I usually use a world with less than 1500 players. One of my friends thought that the higher the world number, the harder the game. This is not true. When you log onto a world, you can only see the people that are logged onto that world, that's it. After you choose a world and click on it, you should see a popup that asks something along the lines of "Do you want to install and run Runescape by Jagex Ltd.", etc. Check the box next to "Always trust content from Jagex Ltd." or something like that and click "Yes" at the bottom. Wait for Runescape to load, and log in with the username and password you just chose.
Step 3: Creating your character and Tutorial Island
When you log in for the first time, you get to create your character. Make sure you choose your appearance and clothes carefully, even though you can change those. To change your appearance and/or clothes later in the game will take 500 coins (for appearance, top, or bottom). Play around for a few minutes, and then, once you're happy, click on "Accept". You will then be on Tutorial Island, where you will learn how to play Runescape and learn the skills to be learned and touch on every aspect of Runescape. Since Tutorial Island is a no-risk place, you can practice the skills all you want (that is a good idea-you can improve your skills and be prepared to face the Runescape world). Nobody will bother you about practicing your skills too much, and it's good for you anyway. Plus, it's too hard to find places to improve your skills after Tutorial Island. After you're finished with Tutorial Island, the island magician will teleport you to Lumbridge, where your Runescape life truly begins. You will have a lot of supplies in your inventory, along with the skills you gained.

Step 4: Welcome to Runescape!
Welcome to Runescape! Here, you can interact with people, improve your skills, make money, fight monsters and other players alike, do quests, and much more. Now, Lumbrdge isn't such a great place to be. It's better to go to a big town like Falador or Varrock, but Lumbridge is the starting location for three quests, two of them easy. If you want to make your way to Varrock, Falador, or somewhere else, open the Runescape homepage in a new window and open the world map, follow the road, and you're on your way!
On to "Surviving in Runescape"!
