Welcome to the body systems part of my website!!
Why I'm making this site: To help people understand body systems.
The digestive system: The digestive system is a group of tubes that are connected together to extract nutrients and minerals from food for use by the body and to remove what's left from the body.

Parts of the digestive system:
The stomach
The liver
The pancreas
The small intestine
The large intestine
The respiratory system: The respiratory system deals with breathing and is responsible for providing blood with oxygen, removes carbon dioxide from the blood and is responsible for removing the carbon dioxide from the body and exchanging it for oxygen.

Parts of the respiratory system:
Nose/Mouth
Trachea
Bronchi
Lungs
Diaphragm

The circulatory system: The circulatory system is responsible for transporting nutrients, minerals, and oxygen to the body's cells with the blood, and is also responsible for taking away wastes made by the cells (water and carbon dioxide). The lungs and the respiratory system is/are then responsible for removing the wastes from the body.

Parts of the circulatory system:
Heart
Arteries
Blood vessel
Capillaries
Veins
The excretory system: The excretory system is the system of the body that is responsible for removing waste from the blood and taking the waste out of the body.

Parts of the excretory system:
Liver
Kidney
Capillaries
Bladder
Ureters
The nervous system: The nervous system is run by the brain. The brain sends and receives electrical impulses through a network of nerves that runs throughout the body.

Parts of the nervous system:
Brain
Nerves
Nerve cells (neurons)
Spinal cord
The endocrine system: The endocrine system is the system that produces hormones. The hormones are distributed to the rest of the body through the bloodstream.

Parts of the endocrine system:
Pituitary gland
Pancreas
Thyroid
Hypothalamus
Adrenals
The skeletal system: The skeletal system is a very important system. It gives your body support and determines how its shaped, allows your body to move, produces blood for the body (with the marrow), and stores excess nutrients until needed.

Parts of the skeletal system:
Skull
Ribs
Vertebral column
Sternum
Marrow
