The History of Brewing Beer

Beer is one of the oldest drinks we know. As far as we know , people brew beer for thousand of years ago for Christ was born in Mesopotamia and gypt, but it didnot look like the beer we know now.
Te Germans also were real great artists in brewing a drink that looks like beer.
But the brew of the older habitants was another drink than our BEER.
They didnot use "Hop"( a climbing-plant) in their brew, that had great influence on the taste of beer, but long times they used herbs in it and fruits like juniperberries.
Since the year 1000 one uses "Hop".
In early day, think of the Middle-Ages, breweries were more a family bussiness.
Many household brew their own beer. Some of the cities in Holland are now very famous for brewing beer, all started with a guild of many hundreds of compagnies and little compagnies.
Think about famous cities like Gouda,Haarlem,Delft and Amersfoort, in Holland.
The last city counted more than 300 big-and small breweries.
There was an exception, many cloisters also brew their beer, the so called cloisterbrew. Their brewtechnics were of great quality.
In the Middle-Ages people started to drink lots of beer, counted was 400 litre by one head of the population.
It came because one didnot consume other drinks like coffee, tea and spirits and the water was of real bad quality.

What is beer:
Beer is a drink made by alcoholic fermentation of "Hop", "Barley" and brewwater.
Ofcourse if you want to make another beer you can add more or less of the ingrediences in it or do some upgrade with other.
So every brewer can make another taste.
