OBJECTIVES �
1. To enhance the focus of P.I. students towards setting career / life goals.
2. To help them to set goals as students
3. To help them to plan out their time in order that you may achieve your goals
4. To keep them accountable to these goals.
5. To ultimately improve the pass rate of the P.I. students
6. To begin networking and exploring job prospects together
METHODS
a) Part 1 LAW Students
Establish mentors from the Senior Body of Students
b) Part 2 LAW Students
Establish mentors from the body of P.I. graduates.
c) To set �general guidelines� for the contact, interaction and goals of the relationships
MENTOR - To help motivate students to get studying!
1. ENTHUSIASM - to show enthusiasm in the student and the student's interests
2. GOALS SETTING - to encourage students to set goals that will 'stretch them' but can be achieved
3. PLAN & TIME MANAGEMENT - to assist students to set out a plan for achieving their goals
4. ENCOURAGE - to provide encouragement and support - they have to keep going at it: �When the going gets tough the tough get going.�
5. ACCOUNTABILITY - without discouraging students: - Keep them accountable to their set goals!
