Lightning struck my heart
And tore it in two
The daily struggle which takes place
Trying to force me to choose between the two
But it seems that the choice is not mine
For one loves another
And the other is someone who needs help
The help of God
And so I'll sit and wait,
My patience never wearing thin
I'll get my chance, my time will come
When God will let me experience love
True love, where my heart is no longer torn
But united as a whole,
No longer causing me blinding pain
I'm still young
So I'll wait my turn,
I won't shove or push to be in the front of the line
God has plans for me,
And I'll wait until He shares them with me
And when my heart is no longer torn,
That day, when my heart and soul unite,
Is the day I shall truly be happy
