Renewed Faith
by
Jami-Chan
Hands clasped together
All of us in a circle
A moment in time, remembered forever
The prayer is said, and those with strength
Greater than mine, nod and give their prayers
My heart lightens
And I feel the faith flooding back in
Our hands tighten,
And I can feel their faith in me
Their faith in Him
Their faith that everything will be right again
These people, they are my friends
They are my brothers and sisters in the Lord
Without them, things would still be confused and shattered
My faith had died, it had left me alone
Fears rushed in, pushing their way into my heart and soul
Nothing felt right
I clung to my faith, holding it tight
Only to lose it
But as we stand here now
Hands clasped, heads bowed, prayers on our lips
It floods back in, strong and renewed
No longer torn, no longer dangling from an edge
My faith renewed, good as new
And as I reopen my eyes
I make a promise to the Lord
To Myself, and to my family
This faith is here to stay, so help me Lord
Help me cling to this faith,
This faith renewed which has lightened my heart
And Rejoiced in my soul
This faith in which my hope lives on
This faith, renewed, which I shall now cling to with heart and soul
And never again lose my faith
My faith renewed
