C1. Awakening
by
Sin and Jami-chan.
Khalissa sighed, walking into her house. She let her blue shoulder-strap fall and the bag it was linked with plummet to the ground. It made a heavy thud. She growled angrily at the inanimate object and gave it a hearty kick, punctuated with Bastard!.
"Hey," Jami poked her head out her bedroom with an annoyed look, "do you mind? CD players tend to skip when heavy objects are dropped on the floor."
Khali glared at her. "Well excuse me! Didn't know it was a crime to set my books down." The golden-haired girl huffed and stalked angrily toward her roommate, turning at the last second to enter her own room. She slammed the door, and felt the house shake under the pressure. Khalissa smiled grimly, her aqua-green eyes glinting irritably.
Jami winced when a vase fell off a shelf because of the force Khali exerted on the slamming of her door, and shook her head slowly. As she went to clean up the broken pieces of the vase, she called out, "Are you gonna explain your anger this time or leave me guessing?"
Khalissa sighed, the action laced thoroughly with aggravation. That damn, fucking stupid Roughly ten minutes later. bastard, History teacher! Thats whats fucking wrong!
"And he did what..."? Jami asked, the volume of her voice increased as she walked towards the kitchen, which contained the nearest trash can. Dumping the shattered pieces of the somewhat expensive vase into the garbage can as if they didn't matter, she promptly turned, opened up the refrigerator and grabbed a can of mountain dew.
Khali seethed rage, and it permeated the very air around her. He made a damn fool out of me in front of thirty fucking people, THATS what he did!
Jami chuckled lightly, "It couldn't have been that bad, Khali. And better thirty people than sixty, right? Anyways, how'd he make a 'damn fool out of you'?" She asked, quoting her friends description of what happened.
Khalis anger seared through the plane of air, impressing her anger upon Jami, even though they were a good ways apart. I had to read a book report in front of the class, I made one LITTLE fucking mistake and he completely tore me up for it! Her fury churned, inflicting some perfectly violent images in those nearby minds, displaying her hatred and exact thoughts.
Visibly paling at her friends anger, Jami winced a little as she opened the can of her favorite beverage. She took a sip and shook her head. "Thats what you get for having to be so... so... perfect all the time!"
The aura of vehemence surrounding and coming from Khalissa shimmered slightly. She fell silent, the ire dissipating rapidly, and in the place of the former rage, a quiet thoughtfulness filled.
Khalissa opened her door, and it protested in a loud creak which spoke of its earlier abuse. She walked out to the kitchen, looking for her friend, Jami. She sighed again, a faint glow of sorrow echoed about her.
Jami..? she began, timidly. Sorry I lost my temper.
Blinking, the teenager shrugged and laughed it off.
"Thats okay, it happens to the best of us!" Jami said, downing the rest of her pop in one big swig. "Anywho, whatre you going to do about what he did? Any plans of revenge?" Her hazel eyes sparkled mischievously.
Khalissa grinned malevolently. Of course I do, dont I always? she said, laughter in her tone, but a quiet flare of malice shot up and an intensely vicious image flew unbidden and transferred to Jami. Khali went on, unnoticing, as the burst died down as fast as it blazed up. But, being as hes a teacher she continued, utterly oblivious to her infliction. I guess Ill play nice, hm?
Eyes widening at the image that appeared in her mind, Jami shook it off quickly, playing it as her sometimes over-active imagination. A bit shaken up at the thought that was so unlike her usual nature, Jami laughed a bit uneasily. "Sure, sure thing Khali. Always gotta play nice with teachers..." Her voice trailed off as she shook her head slightly.
Khalis eyes narrowed, she could practically feel Jamis discomfort and complete unease. Are you alright..? Youre not coming down with anything, are you, she queried, lightly, watching Jamis responses.
"Yeah, Im fine." Jami answered, eyes wide as she blinked a couple of times. "Just a mental image appeared that was just... a bit... umm..." She blinked again, staring wide-eyed at Khali, "Not like me? I mean, I know Im not a non-violent person but Ive never pictured something that violent before."
Khalissa blinked, slightly taken aback. What was it? She quirked an eyebrow.
Shaking her head, Jami sighed. "It was... so... Im not quite sure what it was. It was so full of anger, and the anger was very intense. Bah, forget about it. Im probably just letting my imagination get to me again."
Khali shrugged, a bare twitch of her shoulders, and grinned. Thats always good. Im forcing my violent ways on you! She had meant the statement in an entirely joking manner, however, and did not sense the truth behind it.
