Pureness is something mostly only children hold
And as we grow,
And to little ones we become old
The innocence will no longer glow,
The pureness changes
With everyone little difference in our personality
Something or another exchanges
Exchanges with individuality

Yet as the days pass by
And the innocence eventually die
I can only watch with one open eye
For seeing the whole picture would kill my heart
In which innocence still resides
Just as it did at the start
And I know it, as well,
Is choosing sides

As my friends lose their purity
Lose their innocence
I will still think about doing a little charity
As my heart wages a war against demons sent from hell
Pure thoughts continue to fly freely
Through my mind
Unlike the minds of many
At least this is what I've come to find

Forever innocent
I remain naive
Always thinking angels have been sent,
Sent to protect and relieve
No matter how they've changed
No matter how much they jest
No matter what or how much is exchanged
I seem to remain forever pure, and seem to forever think the best.
