by Sammie Crazy thoughts were in her mind, Love had left her in a bind, She held her lover close at heart, Sworn to him they'd ne'er part. Late at night she'd lie awake, Felt her body begin to quake, Something was coming in the night, A fearful thing that imparted fright. Demons came and Angels went, All their strength had been lent Her life's in peril, but still she'd try, Holding the tears, she refused to cry. Onward she leapt into herself, Placing those she loved on a shelf, Disregarding the heat in the eyes, Of the creatures she'd grown to despise. Suddenly she awoke in bed that day. Not quite knowing just what to say. Later she knew things ain't what they seem, That whole ordeal had been but a dream. . . |
