What I thought
Taking off from the season 1 cliffhanger was going to be a tough one - how do you rescue everyone without making it look too much like coincidence? The introduction of Crais as the "unwelcome hero" was an excellent idea, especially to try and convince Aeryn to calm Talyn - which has major repurcussions to come. A healthy dose of character interaction, as Zhaan follows the Delvian ways again, and Aeryn lectures her about "love for her fellow beings" rather well. And Crais actually bonds slightly with Talyn, when "reporting" to Scorpius, which got up my suspicions for a moment - was Crais working for Scorpy? The main plot twist was at the end where Talyn chose to go with Crais rather than Aeryn, or indeed Crais and Aeryn. But overall, I don't think the story was told very well - it flitted between bits of action often and there were many bits of meaningless conversation. Overall, I'm stuck between a 3 and 4, so unfortunately I'll have to give it a 3.
