What I thought

OK, another two-story one. While Crichton, D'Argo and Zhaan search for maps and run into freaky aliens, Aeryn has to help Moya and her baby. But in my opinion, the main story is pretty weak and involves lots of pointless running around. We learn little about the characters (except Zhaan is a plant and gets a little bitchy at John at one point for it) and the aliens, in my opinion, aren't all that good. This is really saved by Aeryn's story, and how Pilot and Moya ask her to board Moya's son to establish communications between him and his mother. A lot is revealed about Aeryn, Moya, Pilot, and the baby. Earlier on Aeryn wouldn't have cared apart from "doing it for the greater good", and it shows how far she's come, and how far her relationship with Pilot and Moya has as well for them to trust her so completely. She even seems to develop a maternal instinct for Moya's son.If this was just set around the hunt for the maps on the planet, I'd give it a 2, but Aeryn's story makes up for it slightly (we don't see enough of it). 3 out of 5.
