Originally under Crais' command, Braca rose to Scorpius's right-hand man when Crais defected. Since then he has been a part of every major operation and one of Scorpius' most trusted men.
Scorpius has not seen fit to kill Braca yet, despite his intelligence officer not anticipating Talyn's faster-than-average maturing to Starburst, nor that Braca left Crichton for dead when their craft was attacked above the Royal Planet. This is probably a testimony to how efficient Braca is, and possibly devious, being able to help Scorpius in his plans.
However, Braca is still Scorpius' puppet, and acts under his command only except when saving himself. He is experienced, and knows danger when he sees it and thinks of tactics to get him out. But as Scorpius has said, the reason why he is Scorpius's right hand man is that he never asks questions.
Scorpius has shown Braca a lot of favour considering Scorpius' introvert nature, telling him the secret of why Peacekeeper command gave them so much free reign with the wormhole experiment (before Grazar arrived that is). And he seemed to have some new future designed for both of them during the wormhole experiment's last moments, as he commanded Braca to accompany him. Shortly after this John witnessed what seemed to be the defeat of Scorpius. Had Braca accompanied his master into death, or into a new life?
It seemed like neither at first. Commandant Grayza took charge of the vessel, and Braca in turn, and kept Scorpius alive. However, Scorpius escaped somehow (we have yet to discern that) and saved Aeryn, getting amnesty aboard Moya for his troubles.
But this is Braca we're talking about, who is often referred to as the great survivor (next to Scorpy and most of the other crew!). Even though Grayza seemed quite capable of seducing Braca into doing anything for her, Braca eventually managed to find Scorpius aboard Moya, and it turns out the two have been working together the entire time!
But what is left for good ol' Braca? Is he still trying to brown-tongue his way up the ranks? Who is he loyal to, and to what extent?
