General Information

    

Camera Collector Conduit is designed to backup the data created by Camera Collector running on the Palm Computing Platform(r).

Requirements

   
* A 3Com (or IBM) Palm Connected Organizer running PalmOS v2.0 or later.
* Microsoft Windows 95(r) 98(r) or 2000(r).

Features    

The Camera Collector Conduit is designed to allow you to copy items from the handheld to the PC, from the PC to the handheld, and to sync between the PC and the handheld (registered version only).

The following information is written into the backup file:

* Make
* Model
* Serial Number
* Production Dates (from/to)
* Notes
* Current Value
* Original Cost
* Your Cost
* Whether or not you own one
* Rating
* Marked private
* Category number
* Change status
* Delete status

This is known as a "tab" delimited text file. Many spreadsheet and database programs can read text data in this format.

The datafile on the PC is named "Cameras.txt" and is located in the CamCol directory under the user's directory. For Example:

If I loaded the Palm software in: C:\Palm
and my data directory is: ChevE
then the backup file is in: C:\Palm\ChevE\CamCol\Cameras.txt

There is also a backup of this file in Backup.txt

Liability

    
The author of Camera Collector is not affiliated with Palm Computing, and is not liable for any damages caused to the user or the user's computer equipment (including both their home PC and their Palm). This program has been tested on a Palm III, Palm IIIx, Palm IIIxe, V, Vx, VII, and Handspring Visor and to the best of the author's knowledge will not harm similar equipment. However, by installing this product the user dissolves the author of all liabilities related to this program or otherwise.
