| At Shalford an unusual drum-shaped pillbox facing South-east still covers a crossing of the River Wey . Made of concrete blocks on exterior. There is an adjacent National Trust sign providing details of the pillbox. The pillbox has 5 loopholes [all now sealed] providing all round (360 degrees) fire. It stands on a concrete plinth 10ins above the ground surface. |
