Folkestone, Kent, World War 2 Pillboxes and Anti-Invasion Defences.

This Emergency coastal battery is one of a number of coastal batteries built along the Kent Coast. This one overlooks Folkestone harbour. Map ref TR241366.

To see a map or aerial photo of this location.

The front is now blocked up , the entrance on the side is also secured, the ground surrounding the bunker is in good condition as it is a miniature golf course.

This is a view of another bunker only yards away just below the main one. You can see Folkestone Harbour in the distance. (photos and text Tim Denton)
