This pillbox formed part of the (Berkshire/Hampshire/Surrey/Kent) - West - East section of GHQ Line running from Reading through Hampshire and West Surrey to Kent (Leigh), then following in part a line south of the North Downs. Aldershot Command: Fleet / Farnham stop line - Stop line (known as a switch line) as part of the perimeter defences of Aldershot running S from Fleet via Crookham to join the GHQ Line near Farnham .(photos Tim Denton).
