It's in good overall condition but the blast wall has been damaged by a falling beech tree. This pillbox formed part of Aldershot Command: Fleet / Farnham stop line - Stop line (known as a switch line) as part of the perimeter defences of Aldershot running S from Fleet via Crookham to join the GHQ Line near Farnham.

Nearby this spigot mortar mountwas hidden totally until recently when a new housing estate and access road was built. The developers have even put a brick wall around it and an information stand. SU796550
