| This type 28a pillbox anti tank gun pillbox still covers the approaches to the railway line near Battlebridge in Essex. The roof is a large concrete slab with sloping edges. Emplacement is divided in two by internal wall. The small chamber has infantry loopholes, the large chamber one large loophole for field gun or anti-tank gun. TQ 772945 |
