Bryce Canyon National Park
On our drive to deliver Marianne from San Francisco to San Antonio, TX, we took the scenic route...
We drove from SF to Las Vegas (ACK!), to Zion National Park, then Bryce National Park,
down to the Grand Canyon North Rim, then to Sedona, AZ, and finally headed east for San Antone.
Long ass drive, some days were M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E, but all in all, we had fun, got to see some AMAZING sites,
I GOT TO MEET MEAN JOE GREENE, and our only real regret was having to make the trip so quickly...
We would loved to have spent a few more days at each stop...

Our favorite pilgrim at the front gate...
A famous arch within the park. Pretty amazing.
There's a famous photo of a local character on his horse,
with his dog, standing atop the arch...
We decided against that... ;-)
We took a short hike down to the canyon floor.
This is the beginning of the descent.
Yes, those litte dots behind Marianne ARE people...
And these stubborn trees... who do they think they are
trying to live at the bottom of a canyon???
This is looking back up the initial descent from a couple photos ago.
I like the contrast of the rock color, the white clouds and sky blue.
Another amazing view from around the canyon lip.
This was above our heads on the way back up out.
Notice the little rock precariously balanced between
the spire in the center of the photo and the one to its right...
Yup, right above our heads, that was...
Called the Cathedral because all the spires
reminded someone back then of church, the story goes...
Marianne and I sitting right on the lip of the canyon,
with the Cathedral behind us.
Da Cathedral.
Us again, with those rocks again...
Yeah, again.
On the drive out of Zion, en route to Bryce, we drove past
the most incredibly shaped and colored rocks.
Ever wondered what Mars must be like? Go to Bryce.
This rock was called Patchwork, because there is a natural grid
cut into its face.
This girl is called Marianne.
Us being silly...
Marianne being silly, all by herself...
CUTE, ain't she?? ;-)
Sunset, somehwere along the route...
Nice, no?

Thanks for visiting,
Aaron & Marianne...
