Johnson Brothers (England, and now part of Wedgewood) is an extremely common pat and can be found in just about any antique shop. The great thing about them is that they can have very pretty designs on them, and the cost is low. I've seen them sold in a set of 6, 8, or 10, (for the most part) and getting anyone to break up a set is a pain in the tukkus. But even a set of 8 shouldn't cost more than $25. Anything more than that is TOO MUCH! I'm sitting on 3 sets of 4, 1 set of 7, and 1 set of 10. These make PERFECT gifts for anyone. These are my freebies to people who take interest in "those butter things"
I've broken them up into 2 groups: 1891-1913, and 1913+. If I have been able to find out the pattern name, it's listed |
