THE PILCHARD APPRECIATION SOCIETY

CHRISTOPHER LOGAN TOWNSEND (CLT) DINNERS

Note: CLT = obscure English cricker who's page fell out of a cricket book at a jumble sale the PAC were attending

Traditionally eaten in the drafty hut in LB's back garden (preferably when extremely cold). Bad clothes required, bad food, cheap bottles of fake French lager + 2 cans of Guinness for the downing race (though CAB allowed "15 month gap"). Activities also include listening to LB's Mum's Gladys Night and the Pips tape, pretending to understand cricket on Radio 5 and listening to the jingoistic news music from the BBC World Service. Evening finishes shivering in sleeping bags under table before LB's dog bangs on the door early next morning and jumps on the occupants. Nice.

Strict dresscode including fake glasses
Camoflague obligatory
