This is my favorite chappel in the area. It looks very old; the paint is peeling, some of the highest windows are broken and pigions fly around in the dome. But it has so much character and just has a good feel to it.
The "new cathedral" in Cuenca, Ecuador, built in the 1880s. It is not painted on the inside, it is all a beautiful brown granite. It has a statue of Pope John Paul II to comemorate his visit to Cuenca in 1985.
The chappel in Trigal, Peru is made of mud bricks. A two hour hike from the nearest road, which is a two hour drive from the nearest city with a priest, Mass is currently only said in Trigal only once a year.
