The visual effects in Super Monkey Ball 2 are stunning. SMB1's backgrounds were nice looking, but had hardly any detail. However, Super Monkey Ball 2 features extremely detailed backgrounds. In addition, every one of the mini-games looks ace.
The sound is equally great. All of the tunes are incredibly catching. However, the voice acting leaves something to be desired. For the monkeys think Pokemon but instead of saying their name they say monkey....blah.
Now the mini games, every one of these are great. There are 12 included: Monkey Race 2, Monkey Fight 2, Monkey Target 2, Monkey Billiards 2, Monkey Golf 2, Monkey Bowling 2, Monkey Boat Race, Monkey Shot, Monkey Dogfight, Monkey Baseball, Monkey Soccer, and Monkey Tennis. Every one of these games are better than their equivalent of a stand alone game.(Except baseball and soccer...duh). The story mode is excellent-you can finally take breaks between stages. And when you need to get play points, The challenge mode rules.
All in all, another great game. 9.5/10
