And Here It Comes
My Guitar Gently Weeps
But I'm Switching To Drums

How come it feels like your destiny's switching,
you continue to ramble like a fish that is twitching,
or grasping for air,
eyes full of fear,
you wonder to wander,
you keep a blue yonder,
if your heart's nearly broken,
or your just out of fuel,
and your mouths wide open
and you can feel the drool,
it's almost explosive and really gets weird,
When I turn on the radio and George isn't hear.
Like some kind of joke,
you laugh and you toke,
and you cough and you cry,
you may even sigh,
but it's all just a lie,
because you didn't know him,
but what you feel is real,
and your creativity's flowin',
there's mud in your eye,
it drips into your poem,
it may be your life's song,
yes indeed, I believe,
that's what it was all along,
and the future is coming
and all you can think is that if you keep running,
you'll catch up with the sun, or the sinking moon,
and you can't close your eyes and you can't breathe too soon,
you just have to wait,
but the waiting gets old and your patience runs thin,
and your heart's nearly sold,
but you still have your gut,
intuition, and fear,
and you still have the music
that you so often hear,
and you still have the sugar plumbs dance in your head,
like so many winters,
and churches and sleds
, and god isn't with you,
and he isn't with me,
he's just playing some skeeball,
sipping on pennyroyal tea,
wandering lonely, on penny lane,
somewhere in England, on some other plane,
and if you go dancing,
save the last dance for you,
cause after all of the issues,
and searching, and clues,
and all the pretending you won't ever do,
and all of the fingers pointing, and grins,
the party was lovely, and you certainly win.

And if I go sailing on some lonesome day,
George Harrison's still smiling
through the sunshine and rain.
