By the way, the song "Everyday" belongs to B4-4 A/N- I love Zechs/Noin so bad, I just HAD to write about THEIR WEDDING! Anyways, this is probably more sap than I have ever written before but still. Bring out the champagne and let's party! Oh yeah, on with the story.. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Noin stood in front of the mirror, grinning. She tried on the veil for the 10th time in the past hour. She couldn't believe she was finally a bride. But most of all, she couldn't believe she was finally marrying Zechs. "You look beautiful, Noin" Sally exclaimed. Noin turned around to face her friend. "You think so?" she asked hopefully. Sally grinned, "Zechs will be drooling". Noin and Sally laughed. Relena and Hilde poked their heads in. "So, any pre-marriage jitters?" Hilde asked. Noin rolled her eyes, "Tons", she answered. Sally, Relena and Hilde were all in their matching silver dresses. Dorothy walked in, scowling. "Why do I have to be the silly flower girl?" she said, eyebrows furrowing. "I look absolutely ridiculous in this dress". "Oh Dorothy, you look fine" Relena said. Dorothy only scowled more. "Hey- don't ruin my big day" Noin said. Dorothy rolled her eyes. "It's only a wedding". "Exactly, it's ONLY a wedding" Sally said. "We are sad. We're talking nonsense now" Hilde replied and turned back to the mirror. "Here Noin, let me do your makeup" Relena offered. Noin consented. "Not too much though" she said. Relena nodded and applied some powder and lip gloss. "You look so much better without makeup" Relena said, enviously. The other girls watched. "So, how's it feel?" Sally asked. Noin grinned. "Wonderful, I'm finally marrying that handsome oaf" she laughed. Everyone laughed too. "It took you guys long enough to get together" Dorothy said, "Not to mention the entire time everyone thought he was dead". Now that you're right in front of me There's something that I would like to say to you "Yeah" Noin replied. Relena noticed her nervousness. "It's going to be perfect" she assured her soon-to-be-sister-in-law. "Yeah, just remember though, guys are generally grumpy when they wake up so you better have breakfast for them" Hilde said. "I know from experience". "Yeah, how is it like to be married to Duo? I would run away screaming by now if I were you" Sally teased. "Oh shut up" Hilde said, eyes laughing. Noin shook her head. Maybe this wedding would go fine after all. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Zechs was getting ready too. Unlike Noin, he was a bit more nervous about the whole wedding and marriage thing. What if I can't make her happy? He thought nervously, What if I hurt her even more than I already have? Maybe this wedding wasn't a good idea after all. I made up my mind And if you feel the same I swear that I will be there Everyday Duo sensed his nervousness. "Hey Zechs, weddings aren't that bad. It'll be over soon and then come honeymoon, and the fun really starts" he said, wiggling his eyebrows. Heero, Trowa, Quatre and Wufei looked up. Trowa actually hid a smile. Quatre looked away, subject obviously too embarrassing. Zechs looked at Heero who was trying to adjust his own tie. He laughed a bit at the distaste on his former-enemy's face. Fortunately, after the war, they had agreed on peace between the two. Especially since he was dating his sister, Relena. If he ever tried to kill Heero again, Relena would kill him. I really can't believe the war's finally over. Zechs thought. Then decided to think about something else. Don't need reminders of unhappiness on the happiest day of your life. He tried to comb his hair again. "Zechs, man, how do you and Duo live with that kind of hair?" Heero asked. Zechs shrugged. "Girls like it" Duo grinned, "notice that us long-haired guys are the ones getting married first". Heero shrugged and decided not to pursue the topic. Quatre looked at the clock hanging above the door. "The ceremony starts in 15 minutes" he reported. "15 minutes before you get stuck with the ball and chain" Duo said, rolling his eyes, "Believe me, I speak from experience". Zechs actually smiled a bit. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Noin was busily adjusting the veil. Her bridesmaids and even the flower girl were fussing over her. "Only about 2 more minutes" Relena squealed. "Two more minutes until you become Mrs. Zechs Merquise" Sally added. Noin groaned. "Please, Sal, I feel the pressure already". "You'll do fine" Hilde assured her as she added some more lip gloss, The music for the procession started. Everyday from now until I die, I will spend my life with you I can only pray That we'll stay the same Everyday Noin had major butterflies in her stomach. Here we go she thought. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Zechs watched as the flower girl, Dorothy started down the aisle. She actually looked good in the small silvery dress. He saw Duo nudge Quatre. He noticed Quatre turned extremely red. Then the bridesmaids came down the aisle. First Relena (Duo nudged Heero), then Sally, (Duo nudged Wufei), then Hilde, (Heero, Quatre and Wufei all nudged Duo). Then finally, Zechs held his breath. Open your eyes and look at me Tell me that you can see it too Noin came out. His breath caught in his throat. She looked absolutely beautiful. Her raven coloured hair framed her delicate face and her deep purple eyes shone brightly from behind her veil. She looked like a goddess sent from the heavens to grace earth and the colonies, and somehow, a mere mortal man like him had won her love. "Wow, you lucky man" Duo whispered to Zechs. Zechs could only agree. He was lucky. He didn't know what he did to deserve someone as beautiful and wonderful as Lucrezia Noin but somehow...he had her. They all took their places. Zechs tried to pay attention to the ceremony but all he could do was stare at Noin. He couldn't believe she was really his. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* After about what felt like hours of nonstop sermons, it was time for the vows. Noin went first. "Zechs, I promise to love for forever and always because, it's the only thing I can really do. And I know we've been through a lot together and probably will go through even more in the future. I want you to know that no matter what, I'll always love you and be by your side. I've waited for this day for more than 7 years and finally all my dreams are coming true. I know that you feel that you don't deserve me and that's not true. You do. Actually, I'm the one who doesn't deserve you. I love you Zechs, and I'll be proud to be your wife." 'Cause I'll be complete if you take this ring I swear that I will love you everyday She looked at Zechs in the eye, to let him know she meant every word of it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Zechs licked his lips. He felt an overwhelming sense of love for Noin. "Ok, I've never been good with words so here goes. Noin, I love you. I've loved you for as long as you've loved me and I've dreamed of this day for as long as I can remember. I'm deeply sorry for all the pain I've caused you before. I was trying to protect you from myself but I only damaged both of our hearts. I love you so much, you are what makes life truly beautiful. And I don't deserve you. But I do love you and can only hope that I can make you happy. I want to be with you for the rest of my life" Their eyes met again. We both know this world is always changin' No one stayin' together But maybe God will let us Last forever and ever "Alright then, I pronounce you husband and wife" the minister said. "You're mine now, Zechs Merquise" she whispered in his ear. He laughed a bit, "And so are you". They kissed again. If I swear that I will be there everyday And I swear that I will love you everyday "Are we going to go to the reception or stand here kissing?" Duo's voice rang out. "Count on Duo to disrupt our moment of love" Noin joked. They faced the crowd and Noin threw her wedding bouquet. Sally caught it. Duo nudged Wufei who turned extremely red, for once in his life. "Go ahead, Wuffie, go ask her!" he said. Wufei elbowed Duo in his stomach. Then, walked over to Sally. "Um, come outside with me, I need to ask you something". They left to go to the balcony. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ They returned shortly, Sally's face shining. She showed Noin the ring on her finger and they squealed together. "Women" Zechs shook his head. "I know" Trowa replied. They all headed for the reception, Zechs' hand tightly clasping Noin's. Noin gave him an evil look. He laughed, leaned over and kissed her. "I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you" he told her. "Same here" Noin said and kissed him back.
