How we did it: We had booked tickets to Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan with Aeroflot. One stop over in Moscow and it all worked fine. We booked tickets to Osh from the Airport in Bishkek the same morning as we arrived. These tickets were low priced, we paid around 40 US$ including the overweight. We left the same day, at mid-day. Taxi from the airport in Osh to hotel Alay. A cheap and decent hotel. What we recommend: If you are able to book the domestic flight Bichkek-Osh in advance, do that. If not, and you do not get a flight to Osh, there are buses from Bishkek that leaves every day for Osh. It is also possible to fly to Tashkent in Uzbekistan. From there you can get a taxi for 40 US$ to the border, pass the border crossing to Kyrgyzstan and take a new taxi to Osh (5-10 US$). |
