Mia Hamm, Formerly a star forward for the U.S. Women's National Team, now plays for the WUSA team Washington Freedom. Hamm has won 1 World Cup (1999), and also holds an Olympic Gold medal.

On May 16, 1999, playing against Brazil, Mia broke the all time international scoring record, scoring her 108th goal. She was named U.S. Soccer's Chevrolet Player of the year for 5 years running, 1994-1999. She played in every 462 minutes of the 2000 Olympics, helping to win the Silver medal.

In 1998, Hamm led the U.S. team to a first-ever Goodwill Games Gold Medal. In 1997 she was named MVP of the U.S. Women's Cup.
