Former U.S. National Team Midfielder, Brandi Chastain now plays Midfield/Defense for the San Jose CyberRays. In 1999, Chastain scored the winning shootout goal in the World Cup finals against China. She helped the team win a silver medal in the Sidney 2000 Olympics and a Gold in Atlanta 1996.

When Brandi joined the CyberRays in 2001, she was named co-captain with U.S. teammate Tisha Venturini. In just seven games Chastain accumulated 4 yellow cards, resuting in her sitting out against New York.

In college, Chastain was named Soccer America's national freshman of the year at California, then transferred to Santa Clara where she was named All-American Player of the Year in 1990.

In 1993, Chastain was cut from the team after 6 years of playing. She was invited back in 1996 for the Atlanta Olympics. She stayed with them until the WUSA was formed in 2001. She then went back to play in her hometown of San Jose.
