Stat Attack Rules
Stat Attack Trophy
* Every week each player must select the winner of
each game including handicap. For a pick to be considered valid it
must have been emailed across to Alan prior to the game starting to be a valid
pick. If picks lost by email you must be able to prove they have been sent
* 1 point is awarded for getting the winner taking into account the
spreads. However in the playoffs the correct pick is worth 1.5 points, in the
Divisional Championships 2 points and the Superbowl 3 points.
* A 'nap' is also required each week and if correct this will be worth an
additional point.
* The Nap will continue until the Divisional
Championships.
* The person with the most points at the end of the season will be deemed
the winner.
* In the event of a likely tie those involved pick the total number of
points in the Superbowl and the closest to the correct number is deemed the
winner
Nap King Trophy
* Each week a Nap is required.
* At the end of the Divisional Playoffs whoever has the most Nap's right wins
the trophy.
* In the event of a likely tie those involved pick the total number of
points in the Superbowl and the closest to the correct number is deemed the
winner
The Mini Marathon Spread Challenge
* Each week 3 games will be selected for the Sunday games which will include any TV games in the UK. Your selections already made in the Stat Attack trophy will be deemed your selections.
* In the playoffs all games will count as selected.
* Points awarded are based on the difference in the score plus the spread e.g. St Louis 21 New England 24 (Spread 14.5). If you had selected St Louis you would be -17.5 (3 + 14.5), if you had selected New England you would be +17.5.
* In the extremely unlikely event of a tie, the participants would pick total number of points in the Superbowl and the nearest would be the winner.
The Pairs Shield
* After week 9 players will be paired together for the games to the end of the season. This will be done by choosing the top player to be paired with the bottom, the 2nd top with the second bottom etc. In the event of there being an odd number in the Stat Attack, then one player would be on his own (if 13 players it would be the player in 7th)
* The scores of the pairs are added up (if a single player his score is doubled)
* All scores are zero at the start of the pairs in week 10.
* The pair with the highest point wins, in the likely event of a tie then each player predicts total number of points in the Superbowl and the closest is deemed the winner.
Pigskin Trophy
* At week 8 the Pigskin Trophy commences and 3 groups will be drawn of 4
* Weeks 8 - 12 will be the first round. The person with the best record will automatically go through to the play-off stage. The Top 2 in each Group go through. The person with the best record will automatically go through to the play-off stage. In the event of a likely tie each player will predict the total number of points in the Monday night game in week 13, the closest is deemed the winner. 3 Wildcard places will be available for the highest losers in the groups (New Countback rules will apply). From Week 13 , 2 groups of 4 will compete until the playoffs and the winners of each group will join the person with the best record from phase 1 in the playoffs. The new countback rules will apply in the likely event of a tie.
* The 3 will battle it out through the playoffs and in the likely event of a tie the total number of points in the Superbowl will determine the outcome.
