| Homeschool Student Project Fair Thursday, April 28, 2005 WHEN: 9 AM to 3 PM (Set-up time is any time between 9 to 10 AM) WHERE: Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Poplar, Grove City, PA HOW: Mail-in registration preferred. Phone registrations accepted at (814) 786-9575. Deadline for all details: Saturday, April 23. ENTRY FEE: 1 project: $2.75 total. 2 projects: $5.50 total. 3 or more projects: $6 total. If you have a group project, add $.75 for each extra student who worked on the project (for ribbons & certificates), but do not go past $6. LUNCH: 12 NOON to 1:15 PM. The church will be closed to all bodies at this time! Bring a lunch to eat at the city park; there are also restaurants in town-and there's shopping at the Outlet Mall! PROGRAM: 1:30 to 2:30 PM. There will be a program for all attendees. JUDGING: EACH FAMILY WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING SOMEONE WHO CAN JUDGE THREE PROJECTS (this is usually Mom or Dad). This judging can take place any time 10 AM to NOON. BRING: 1) Electrical cords if you need electricity 2) Lunch 3) Your projects 4) Pencils 5) folding tables if told to do so All students will receive a certificate of participation and a ribbon. Projects will be judged on a numerical score and receive ribbons for EXCELLENT, SUPERIOR, or GOOD. Students will NOT be competing against each other. Preschool through grades 2 have the option of whether or not they want to be judged; if not judged, they will receive "participation" ribbons. Due to lack of space, we cannot accept arts and crafts entries this year. Plan for your display to be self-standing, on 30 inches of table space. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP JUDGE! If you can judge more than 3 projects, or know someone in the community who can judge, please let us know. WE WELCOME IDEAS FOR PROGRAMS, PLAYS (done by your support group?), ENTERTAINMENT, SEMINARS, ETC. for the program while judging is taking place.
