Stroking-Just basic skating. Push each foot off the ice as you go.
Edge-The outline of a circle you make with your skate. It can be either outside or inside. An outside edge is where you lean to the outside of your foot, and an inside edge is where you lean to the inside of your foot.
Crossover-Cross 1 foot over the other as you skate. Makes you go in a circle.
3-Turn-A turn on 1 foot. Makes the shape of a 3 in the ice.
Mohawk-Shift from fowards on 1 foot to backwards on the other foot on a circle.
Transition-Opposite of a mohawk. Go from outside edge going backwards on 1 foot to outside edge going forwards on other foot.
Spiral-Gliding forward or backward on 1 foot while keeping your free leg raised straight behind you at hip level or higher.
