| Macaulay Carson Culkin was born on tuesday 26th Ausgust 1980 in New York City, New York, USA as third of seven children! He started his carrier at age 4 when he appeard in the Off-Broadway Play 'Beach Babies', followed by 'Mr. Softee', 'Buster B. and Olivia' and 'The Nutcracker'. His latest Theater Play was Madame Melville, which was first shown in London, UK at Vaudeville Theatre, and later on NYC's Broadway In May 2002 he started filming his first movie in 8 years 'Party Monster' (with Seth Green), which was first premiered on Sundance Filmfestival in 2003! This year he presented his upcoming movie 'Saved' (with Mandy Moore and Jena Malone ) there. He took such a long break from movies, because he was burned out, and needed to step back for a while. As most famous child actor (next to Shirley Temple) it was quiet hard for him to lead a 'normal' life. He hadn't had the chance to meet a lot of kids at his age, so it was hard for him to find some friends.. He said that he just wanted to go back to school, doing things, a teen does, hanging around, making friends... just normal: He dyed his hair pink and purple, started smoking, got himself a girlfriend... He also wanted to get away from public attention and hoped that people would forget about him soon! Mack said once, that he never really wanted to be famous. But the attention didn't go! He probably had more attention then ever when his parents got seperated and a worse legal battle over the custody of Mack and his siblings got started. 3 long years later Kit Culkin relinquised control to Mack's mom. Just one year later Mack tried to start his very own family and got married to actress Rachel Miner on June 21st 1998 in Connecticut. This marriage lasted about 2 years. Mack and Rachel got seperated on August 5th 2000, just when Mack tried to relauch his carrier. Now he's happily in love again: with 'That '70 Show' actress Mila Kunis. They date since May 2002. There were some rumours that they will get married, too, but Mack told in an interview that he'll not get married so fast again... But who knows..... :) |
