The waters all stopped running
The birds no longer fly
The stars no longer shine at night
There's no sun in the sky
The flowers all have ceased to grow,
I know its sad to say
but it's because the Lily
took her own life yesterday.
The wind it stopped its blowing
And the bees no longer buzz
the rabbits stopped their breeding
the baby chicks all lost their fuzz
The flowers all have ceased to grow
I know its sad to say
but it's because the Lily
took her own life yesterday.
Whatever happened to make the greatest flower cease to grow
It saddens me to say that perhaps we will never know
Badgers no longer will dig holes
Beavers won't cut trees
Humming birds no longer hum
the ice will no longer freeze
The flowers all have wilted now,
they find no cause to live
The Lily too her own life
they have no more hope to give.
