Storm's Heartbeat
Storm’s Heartbeat
There’s nothing like the fresh smell of
Rain
And the sound of the drops hitting my
Windowpane
And when the wind picks up and the clouds
Grow dark
The rain now pours but this is only the
Start
For now flashes of streaking lightning, blinding
With heat
Give rhythm to the thunder,
The storm’s heartbeat
And as I watch I start to
Wonder
How many others appreciate this
Thunder
Nothing on Earth can match it’s
Power
That rumbling boom that makes people
Cower
And just as the rain is so pure and
Sweet
So, too, is the thunder,
The storm’s heartbeat
