How can I describe something
I don’t understand?
The understanding of it is there
in the heart,
but always just out of reach
for the mind to grasp.
Can you imagine
an everlasting love
that knows no limits,
no boundaries;
A love so pure
that it boggles the mind?
Can you imagine
knowing someone
who makes you feel,
not only happy,
but whole,
complete,
like you found a part of yourself
that you didn’t know was missing?
Do you know what it’s like
to love someone
like no other;
more than life,
more than anything?
To have someone
hold your heart
in the palm of their hand?
What I wouldn’t give
To have that again
Though even death itself
Can’t stop me
from loving you
I’ll always have this,
Always
