| India is possibly the most diverse nation in the world. In area, it is the 7th largest country and in | ||||||||
| population, it is second to China. Within its geographical confines, stretching from the great himalayas | ||||||||
| in the north to the tropical peninsular south, there is a dizzying variety of cultures, beliefs, lifestyles and | ||||||||
| surely ethnic groups that few continents possess. It has a powerful assault on the senses, noisy, vibrant | ||||||||
| & chaotic yet there is a contrast of patterns and continuity. A country of a billion people , it can unfold a | ||||||||
| rare delights. Just slowly discovering their centuries old temples, tombs, forts , in the exquisite crafts, | ||||||||
| the bustle of bazaars, the aroma of Indian foods?? and in the serene beauty that one can see thru it's | ||||||||
| chaos. It was fun to learn of its monuments with different architectures, from sacred, buddhist, hindu | ||||||||
| islamic, secular, civic and vernacular architecture. I love the palaces, I love learning the history, it's not | ||||||||
| simply a fun holiday but a learning one. | ||||||||
| Here is the route we took, from New Delhi, to Agra and to the Rajashtan region, from the city of | ||||||||
| Jaipur, to Pushkar and Udaipur. Still so much to see, maybe one day.........!!! (scroll down some more) | ||||||||
