it is second to China. Within its geographical confines,
stretching from the great himalayas |

in
the north to the tropical peninsular south, there is a
dizzying variety of cultures, beliefs, lifestyles and |
|
|
|
| |
|
surely
ethnic groups that few continents possess. It has a
powerful assault on the senses, noisy, vibrant |
|
|
|
| |
|
&
chaotic yet there is a contrast of patterns and
continuity. A country of a billion people , it can unfold
a |
|
|
|
| |
|
rare
delights. Just slowly discovering their centuries old
temples, tombs, forts , in the exquisite crafts, |
|
|
|
| |
|
the
bustle of bazaars, the aroma of Indian foods?? and in the
serene beauty that one can see thru it's |
|
|
|
| |
|
chaos.
It was fun to learn of its monuments with different
architectures, from sacred, buddhist, hindu |
|
|
|
| |
|
islamic,
secular, civic and vernacular architecture. I love the
palaces, I love learning the history, it's not |
|
|
|
| |
|
simply
a fun holiday but a learning one. |
|
|
|
| |
|

Delhi, to Agra and to the Rajashtan region, from the city

|
Jaipur,
to Pushkar and Udaipur. Still so much to see, maybe one
