Mark 7:6-8- "And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrytes, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.  But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the percepts of Me.'  Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men."
Jesus is saying that not only do we say one thing and do another, but we put our traditions above God's law.  We care more about doing things the way we've always done them than in seeking the way God wants them done.  Sometimes men make mistakes, and we find that we have made mistakes, we should be willing and eager to make them right, instead of continuing to hold the status quo.  Instead of just saying that we worship Jesus we must live it, and that means being different from the world.  First Century Christians were radically different than those around them.  It was obvious they were not following after the world.  But people hardly see a difference in so many of us.  Stop going to movies you shouldn't see, watching TV shows you shouldn't watch, and listening to music you shouldn't listen to.  Don't be a part of gossip or making fun of someone else.  Be different and expect to be noticed and treated differently.  Jesus was, and we should be, too.
